About the role

Seasoned Real Estate Agent to own acquisitions and dispositions for institutional buyers and sellers of single-family homes. Remote, U.S.-based role within a fast-moving Series A startup, leveraging AI tools to manage high-volume real estate transactions while maintaining judgment and customer-centric negotiation.

Responsibilities

  • Own both sides of the transaction - acquisitions and dispositions for SFR with institutional clients
  • On the acquisition side, assemble and present offers and negotiate on behalf of customers
  • On the disposition side, manage listings end-to-end: active listings, field offers, negotiate, and guide contracts to close
  • Work with a transaction coordinator and pricing/field team to support operations
  • Navigate changing tools, processes, and playbooks; maintain high-volume productivity
  • Demonstrate AI-enabled workflows and explain their impact with concrete examples
  • Maintain availability for evenings and weekends as deals require

Qualifications

  • Active real estate licenses in at least 3 states within the operating footprint (GA, FL, TX, NC, AZ, TN, AL, IN, OH, MO, KS, NV, CO, CA, OK) and willingness to obtain additional licenses post-hire
  • 5+ years of experience as a licensed real estate agent
  • Experience managing both acquisitions and dispositions including drafting/presenting offers, negotiating terms, listing management, and contract-to-close coordination
  • Demonstrated AI workflows built around at least one general-purpose LLM (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) and ideally one real-estate-specific AI tool (Follow Up Boss AI, Compass AI, Real's Leo, or equivalent) with real pipeline management
  • Judgment on AI usage and ability to evaluate AI outputs for accuracy and Fair Housing compliance
  • Strong technical skills: Salesforce or similar CRM, G-Suite, Slack, macOS; ability to work across multiple systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication; ability to represent Mainstay and clients to agents, buyers, and sellers
  • Reliable access to smartphone and computer for task completion, documentation, and communication
  • Comfort working evenings and weekends when transactions require it
