About the role

Integration Engineer responsible for establishing requirements and developing tooling and processes to enable at-rate production of Starship, focusing on integration of avionics, propulsion, and structural assemblies with emphasis on reliability and manufacturability.

Responsibilities

  • Operate as a systems level engineer to collect production requirements then plan and execute the build, integration, and validation of flight hardware to those requirements
  • Design and implement tooling solutions to eliminate assembly error, improve quality, and accelerate build
  • Automate novel processes to ensure repeatability on a large scale production line
  • Prove that a subsystem work center meets cycle time requirements, or own the design change required to meet target cycle time
  • Become a subject matter expert for the build of a vehicle level system like aero control surfaces, propellant feed systems, actuation systems, thermal protection systems, secondary structures, avionics, primary structure, etc.
  • Generate and maintain design for manufacturing requirements for the processes used to build Starships and Super Heavy Boosters

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
  • 1+ years of hands-on engineering experience (design teams and previous internships qualify)
