About the role

Site-based Industrial Hygiene and Ergonomics program owner within SpaceX at Starbase, responsible for integrating IH and ergonomic practices into all workplace activities and leading program development, implementation, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the site’s subject matter expert for the industrial hygiene program.
  • Serve as the site’s subject matter expert for the ergonomic program.
  • Conduct on-site reviews of work processes and layouts to identify ergonomic stressors, develop common sense solutions, and follow through on implementation of solutions.
  • Develop and implement solutions that resolve industrial hygiene and ergonomic risks.
  • Lead root cause investigations into significant events within the field of expertise.
  • Develop, implement, and improve upon industrial hygiene programs, including but not limited to: Industrial and office ergonomics; Respiratory protection; Chemical hygiene; Exposure control planning.
  • Develop and maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and/or guidelines established by OSHA, NIOSH, ACGIH, and other applicable regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborate with EHS team members to complete job hazard assessments and provide subject matter expertise consultative support for industrial hygiene and ergonomic hazards.
  • Conduct on-site reviews of industrial hygiene processes with a focus on hazard identification and control.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in the field of industrial hygiene with an emphasis on ergonomics.
