About the role

Oversee and own day-to-day site management of fast-paced construction projects at SpaceX Hawthorne campus, supervising labor and contractor teams and coordinating infrastructure build and activation across programs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and own the day-to-day site management of a fast-paced, high-impact construction project, including: manage construction site logistics/operations, use independent judgment to plan and supervise projects across SpaceX campuses, enforce safety policies and drive safety culture, daily field coordination and conflict resolution for contractors and internal partners, manage site logistics (deliveries, offloading, inventory, storage, staging), maintain jobsite cleanliness, maintain SWPP and regulatory compliance, create/enforce/iterate schedules for workers and subcontractors with engineering/project management, maintain daily job site operations log, manage SpaceX construction assets.
  • Oversee procurement and execution of specific construction projects as delegated: provide budgetary costs, gather and assign contractor proposals, develop final cost and schedule, implement cost/schedule/scope controls, coordinate project implementation and track status, coordinate with end users and facilities for operations/maintenance, manage night shift contracts as needed.
  • Make changes to operations to meet deadlines, triage issues to engineering/project management to ensure schedule/quality, manage contractor badging and security.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in the construction industry with experience managing employees on a construction site and contract labor.
