About the role

Palantir builds cross-application frontend frameworks and Electron-based tooling to enable real-time, multi-application UX and cross-app behaviors. This role focuses on designing ergonomic APIs and UX-driven frontend capabilities that coordinate multiple Palantir applications, with require­ment for strong API design, TypeScript/React, and Electron experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work with cross-application front-end frameworks end-to-end, from low-level implementation to high-level UX decisions
  • Collaborate on core web APIs (Broadcast Channels, Service Workers, Local Storage) to enable real-time cross-application communication
  • Help develop an Electron application to extend workflows via Electron IPC and related capabilities
  • Design ergonomic and portable interfaces that slot into multiple applications and support complex user interactions
  • Pair with teams across the company to understand different codebases and architectural patterns
  • Balance API design with strong UX to ensure native-feeling interactions across open applications

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of frontend software engineering experience
  • Strong frontend coding skills with proficiency in JavaScript and understanding of web technologies
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent understanding of algorithms, performance, and systems design
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Eligibility and willingness to obtain a US Security clearance
