About the role

General Manager role to scale Encord's India delivery hub, building a high-caliber team and operating backbone to support rapid growth from a regional hub to several hundred people.

Responsibilities

  • - Build the organisation. Shape team structure and set standards to grow to several hundred people over time.
  • - Turn strategy into execution. Translate company priorities into concrete plans with clear ownership and discipline across India functions.
  • - Create the operating backbone. Establish rhythms, planning cycles, performance cadences, and leadership check-ins to maintain momentum at scale.
  • - Fix what's slowing us down. Identify process gaps, capacity constraints, or friction and implement scalable solutions.
  • - Maintain an exceptionally high bar for talent. Set hiring standards and make tough calls to ensure exceptional people join and stay.
  • - Make Encord a destination in India. Build a compelling employer brand to attract top talent.
  • - Build a culture worth staying for. Foster an environment aligned with Encord values as the team scales.

Qualifications

  • - 10–15 years of general management or site leadership experience, ideally with a strong consulting foundation (ex-MBB at Project Leader, Engagement Manager, or Principal level).
  • - Proven experience building teams in a high-growth or operationally complex environment
  • - Deep understanding of the local talent market and ability to build a competing brand
  • - A global mindset and ability to bring business standards and culture to the team
  • - Exceptional people instincts for recruiting and protecting culture during scale
  • - Comfortable with ambiguity and helping shape answers for the future
