About the role

CNC Machinist position for Starlink on 2nd shift at SpaceX, focusing on setup and operation of multi-axis CNC machines (up to 5-axis mills and 6-axis lathes) with tight tolerances, conducting drilling, tapping, milling and turning, and supporting Starlink manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up and operating multi-axis CNC machines (mills and lathes) up to 5 Axis mills and 6 axis lathes
  • Handling drilling, tapping, milling and turning operations
  • Completing machining operations from blueprints, drawings and/or verbal instructions
  • Machining complex, tight tolerance parts and various materials
  • Material prep, deburring parts, hauling chips, oiling machines, sweeping up and initiating or assisting in organizational tasks

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 7+ years of experience in the setup and operation of CNC machines
  • G-code experience
