About the role

Lead Production Technician to join Anduril Intelligence Systems, leading a team of technicians to produce UAS for strategic military and commercial customers. Role includes frontline technical work, team leadership, and manufacturing operations with a training period in Santa Ana, CA before transitioning to Ashville, OH.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Production Manager and lead technician staff in the production and delivery of UAS through factory acceptance
  • Apply a higher level of knowledge in hardware assembly, troubleshooting and repair while manufacturing operations
  • Utilize reading and comprehension skills to follow documented build instructions
  • Ensure all operators follow safety procedures and standard work tasks; improve safety and efficiency through auditing
  • Prioritize work activities to achieve on-time delivery; manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Participate in 5S and continuous improvement activities; provide feedback on building processes
  • Complete transactions in MES, NetSuite, JIRA, SQL, Tableau daily
  • Assist in weekly production progress reporting including blockers, risks, and needs
  • Be aware of escalation path for floor problems and follow through to completion
  • Work on the line, train and support new operator training as required
  • Complete certification training and maintain required certifications
  • Build a positive team culture focused on product knowledge and skills development
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule
  • Demonstrate urgency and enthusiasm to get the job done
  • Perform detailed daily record keeping and reporting
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and production stakeholders on the floor

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in production-oriented manufacturing or electro-mechanical technician fields
  • Prior experience leading a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with ERP and MES systems (NetSuite, JIRA, SQL, Tableau)
  • Understanding of product life cycle (NPI to production), LEAN manufacturing principles, and change management (ECOs)
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation (mechanical drawings, work instructions, building plans, equipment specs, electrical schematics)
  • Extremely reliable, organized, and detail-oriented with strong communication skills
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship is required for contractual obligations
