About the role

ProSights is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with portfolio companies, prototype quickly, and ship production software within weeks. The role focuses on building custom apps, data pipelines, integrations, and AI agents to solve post-M&A data migration, document/data pipelines, CRM/Revenue operations, and system integrations across portfolio companies. NYC-based with travel to customer sites; visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

  • Embed with a portfolio company. Sit with the people doing the work, learn how the business runs, and find the problem worth solving.
  • Prototype fast. Get to a working prototype in 48 hours, not a slide deck.
  • Ship to production. Take it from prototype to live software in about four weeks, running on their real data.
  • Own the outcome. Stay on the hook until it works and creates value, then hand over software the company owns.
  • Move across the portfolio. Carry what you build from one company to the next so each engagement is faster than the last.
  • Be the face of ProSights on site. Work directly with founders, operators, and PE deal and value-creation teams.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience (implied per seniority)
  • Experience building and shipping production software
  • Strong and fast with Python, SQL, APIs, and data pipelines
  • Comfortable building with LLMs (RAG, evals, prompting, agents)
  • Full-stack capable to deliver usable apps for non-technical users
  • Strong judgment and high agency, able to work onsite at client sites
  • NYC-based and willing to travel to customer sites
  • US visa sponsorship available for work
