Senior Backend Engineer, Ambient AI
About the role
Senior backend engineer role on the Ambient AI team within Commure/Athelas, building AI-powered healthcare platform components including real-time clinical documentation, AI-driven billing automation, and a clinical intelligence platform that uses live patient context.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the most advanced healthcare platform in the country
- Scale infrastructure that supports the largest health systems in the country
- Be a part of a fast-paced team that celebrates fast execution and decisions
- Work across the entire software stack
- Work with a stack that includes Python, Flask, Django, FastAPIs and other frameworks
- Work directly with customers to solve their issues daily
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent extensive experience
- 4+ years of professional software development experience
- Experience with Python, Flask, Django, FastAPI (note: listed as FastAPIs in description)
- Experience shipping software quickly in fast-moving environments
- General understanding of Containers and Cloud (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Attention to detail around user experience and customer needs
- Strong leadership skills
- Highly motivated to grow
