Senior Backend Engineer, RCM AI
About the role
Senior Backend Engineer role on Commure's Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) AI team, building autonomous backend systems that automate healthcare revenue workflows with AI agents and copilots, and owning end-to-end AI feature lifecycles from prompt design to production infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the most advanced billing platform in the country
- Build end-to-end products to revolutionize revenue cycle management for providers and administrators
- Be a part of a fast-paced team that celebrates fast execution and decisions
- Work across the entire software stack
- Work with a stack that includes Python, Flask, Django, FastAPI and other frameworks
- Work directly with customers to solve their issues daily
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent extensive experience
- Full time professional software development industry experience
- Must be comfortable with Python
- Experience in environments where you ship quickly
- General Understanding of Containers and Cloud (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Excitement to work in a high impact field with a builder attitude
- Experience building production environments
- Attention to detail around user experience and customer needs
- Extremely motivated to grow
- Strong leadership skills
