About the role

Aircraft Structures Technicians inspect and perform structural repairs and modifications on aircraft per blueprint specifications, using hand tools and test equipment to return aircraft to service per FAA and manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of aircraft sheet metal and structural repairs and modifications
  • Use specialized equipment and tools to measure parts for defects or deviation from specifications
  • Ensures proper care of customer property through all phases of maintenance work
  • Completes duties within allotted hours quoted for assigned tasks
  • Ensures proper and complete documentation of maintenance, repair, and modification all work performed
  • Understands and follows safety procedures and utilizes support equipment in a safe manner
  • Follows strict dimension tolerances in compliance with FAA, FAR, based on supplied approved data.

Qualifications

  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in aviation regarding Small, Mid to Large cabin aircraft.
  • Minimum three (3) years’ performing structural repairs and modifications.
  • Experience working with composite materials a plus
  • Basic knowledge of structural assembly techniques required
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics required
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to follow directions
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Airframe Certification preferred for entry and mid level position / Required for senior level position
