About the role

Harvey is hiring in-house Legal Engineers to lead discovery, demos, trainings, and onboarding, translating real legal work into Harvey solutions across pre-sales, post-sales, and custom solutions. The role combines legal expertise with product feedback to shape Harvey’s platform for lawyers, with travel typical 2-3+ times per month.

Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery, demos, trainings, and onboarding alongside Account Executives and Customer Success Managers.
  • Engage with leading law firms and legal teams during pre-sales to understand workflows and build tailored AI-powered solutions.
  • Demonstrate value in real legal use cases and gather prospect feedback to influence product direction.
  • Translate legal practice needs into actionable feedback for product and engineering; contribute to customer-facing content across practice areas.
  • Build no-code, bespoke Harvey in-app solutions (for LECS) and prototype against sample documents; collaborate with stakeholders to refine tools.

Qualifications

  • JD or equivalent legal qualification.
  • 3+ years of practicing law in-house, at a top-tier law firm, or advising a sophisticated corporate legal team.
  • Strong understanding of in-house legal workflows, risks vs business priorities.
  • Executive presence with ability to credibly engage legal and business stakeholders at all levels.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills; comfortable leading live demos and strategic customer conversations.
  • Curiosity about AI’s potential in legal work, with practical, solutions-oriented mindset and bias toward action.
  • Track record partnering with senior stakeholders to drive results; openness to testing approaches for customer outcomes.
  • Cross-functional experience or prior sales/customer-facing experience and/or hands-on AI tooling in legal practice is a plus.
