About the role

Independent Contractor position for Project Morava to collect high-quality Malay speech data for training and evaluating speech recognition models. Tasks involve reading and recording 150 short scripted prompts in Malay using the Appen Mobile app from anywhere in Malaysia.

Responsibilities

  • Record 150 short, scripted voice prompts in Malay using the Appen Mobile app on a smartphone.
  • Read prompts clearly and naturally to generate high-quality speech data.
  • Follow recording guidelines to meet quality standards.
  • Complete the task on your own schedule and from any location in Malaysia.

Qualifications

  • Native Malay speaker
  • Currently residing in Malaysia
  • 18 years or older
  • Smartphone compatible with the Appen Mobile app

Skills

Required:Malay language proficiency
