About the role
Engineering role focused on geometry algorithms and data interfaces for road network mapping and calibration in Zoox's autonomous vehicle platform. Hybrid full-time position in Foster City, CA.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the geometry algorithms that power our map data interfaces.
- Implement and maintain key parts of our mapping data format, validation frameworks, post-processing pipelines, and interfaces consumed by downstream customers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Zoox to ship features and grow the APIs that downstream consumers depend on.
- Create design documentation, test plans, and other supporting artifacts for the work you ship.
- Contribute to all phases of the software development cycle, including prototyping, requirements capture, design, implementation, and validation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years of relevant industry experience
- Proficiency in C++
- Strong code-quality fundamentals - correctness, testability, modularity
- Strong mathematical skills, particularly in computational geometry
- Experience working with large data sets
