About the role
Zoox's Road Network (ZR N) Tooling team builds software and tools to create, analyze, and validate the road network maps used by the autonomy stack, including the 3D Map Editor, triage tools, and map validation automation.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test features across the full stack for road network applications (Map Editor, Triage tools, validation pipeline)
- Build out content pipeline and automation enabling Cartographers to produce ZRN data accurately and quickly
- Build tools and spatial algorithms that validate and refine maps
- Create software requirements, design documentation, test plans, and other supporting documentation
- Contribute to all phases of the software development cycle including prototyping, requirements capture, design, implementation, and validation
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of industry experience
- Fluency with Python or C++
- Experience with OpenGL, WebGL, and graphics programming
- Experience with FastAPI, Postgres, REST web services, and operational support
- Experience with AWS, cloud-based service providers, and service monitoring
- Experience developing spatial algorithms, routing, or graph theory
