About the role

Electrical Engineer (Power Systems) on SpaceX's Construction Projects team, based at the McGregor Rocket Development Facility. Responsible for power system design, procurement, construction, and commissioning for large capital projects, with travel and potential assignments at other SpaceX facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary SpaceX Construction Projects team on power-specific engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities for diverse projects
  • Develop and issue drawings, design documentation, and reports for aerospace, industrial, and commercial projects
  • Write, negotiate, and manage construction contracts with subcontractors across multiple disciplines through contract close-out
  • Resolve design and construction conflicts in the field in real-time
  • Coordinate with electrical utility provider for design/engineering to ensure reliable power service to critical site infrastructure
  • Interact with engineers, contractors, fabricators, and project stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology
  • 3+ years of professional experience with the design or build of commercial or industrial power systems
