About the role

Role within the Atlas API Experience (APIx) team, part of MongoDB Atlas Data Services, focused on improving and extending the API platform and downstream tooling (e.g., Atlas CLI) to help customers automate workloads via APIs and support internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Propose, design, implement and support product features for the MongoDB Atlas API Platform and Atlas DevTools (e.g., AtlasCLI)
  • Build tooling to help MongoDB users/developers succeed using Java, Go, Python & Javascript/Typescript
  • Design and develop software integration components leveraging MongoDB technologies and integrate into partner frameworks
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance through code/design reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing
  • Lead sophisticated projects end-to-end with incrementally shippable deliverables
  • Investigate and resolve problems experienced by customers, including cross-team escalations (Level 2 support rotation)
  • Apply MongoDB core values to planning, design, and coding

Qualifications

  • Track record of independently delivering complex projects and leading technical decisions
  • Inspired by building systems that manage infrastructure at scale
  • Approachable, curious, and intellectually honest
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively across multiple teams, locally and remotely
  • Able to coordinate own time, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks without heavy oversight
  • Proficient in at least one of Java, Go, Python, or Javascript/Typescript; able to pick up others
  • Experience building developer tooling, APIs, and/or IaC integrations
  • Working knowledge of at least one major cloud infrastructure platform (AWS, GCP, Azure)
