About the role
Frontline data science role supporting UK and European defence programmes, designing and deploying AI for predictive maintenance, digital targeting, and logistics in secure, on-site customer environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead the research, design, implementation, and deployment of machine learning algorithms, intelligent agents, and optimisation solutions for enterprise applications leveraging the C3 AI Suite.
- Assist and enable C3 AI's customers to build their own applications on the C3 AI Suite.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of new features of the C3 AI Suite.
- Analyse model performance across asset fleets, diagnose issues such as low risk scores or false positives, and recommend hyperparameter adjustments.
- Collaborate with data and subject matter experts from C3 AI and customer teams to seek, understand, validate, interpret, and correctly use new data elements.
Qualifications
- MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, or equivalent fields.
- Applied AI experience (generative AI, agentic solutions, regression and classification, supervised, and unsupervised learning).
- Strong mathematical background (linear algebra, calculus, probability and statistics).
- Experience with scalable ML (MapReduce, streaming).
- Ability to drive a project and work both independently and in a team.
- Smart, motivated, can-do attitude, and seeks to make a difference.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
