About the role

Founding product engineer hire at Chasi, an AI-powered equipment industry platform. You own the product, design infra, build features, and interact with customers in a founding role with equity and responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Ship production features across the entire platform: voice agents, workflow automation, memory architecture, and the customer-facing UI
  • Design and build the real-time voice pipeline: response delivery in sub-second latency
  • Evolve our memory system: vector stores that make every agent conversation contextually intelligent
  • Build integrations that enterprises actually need: Salesforce, HubSpot, and custom CRM connectors
  • Architect multi-tenant infrastructure that scales from 10 to 10,000 organizations
  • Make direct technical decisions: model selection, infrastructure tradeoffs, build vs. buy, etc

Qualifications

  • 2+ years building production software, ideally full-stack TypeScript/React with real backend depth
  • You've worked with LLMs beyond the tutorial stage: prompt engineering, tool use, embeddings, retrieval-augmented generation
  • Comfortable in real-time systems: WebSockets, streaming, audio pipelines, or telephony infrastructure
  • Strong opinions on architecture, loosely held. You make tradeoffs fast because you've shipped enough to know what matters
  • You thrive in ambiguity. No PRDs, no Jira epics. You talk to customers, identify what to build, and ship it
  • Ownership mentality — this is a founding role with founding-level equity and founding-level responsibility

About Chasi

AI Revenue Engine for the Equipment Industry

Chasi deploys AI agents that help equipment dealers sell more, respond faster, and maximize fleet utilization - 24/7. One-third of the cost to build and maintain the physical world goes to equipment, yet fleet utilization across the industry often sits below 60%. Billions in assets sit idle while dealers drown in phone calls, emails, and manual data entry. Missed quotes, slow follow-ups, and disconnected systems mean lost revenue every day. Chasi plugs into a dealer's existing stack to deploy AI agents that handle sales, rentals, and service requests around the clock. The result: faster response times, higher utilization, and stronger margins, without adding headcount. We automate the busywork so teams can focus on what actually grows the business: customer relationships. Akash Pavan and Sarman Aulakh have built tractors, race cars, and robots, and previously led AI deployments at Tesla, Boeing, and Cummins, where they saw firsthand how much operational value gets left on the table in equipment-heavy industries. Chasi is live across equipment businesses in the US and Europe.
