About the role

Founding AI Product Engineer role at Standout, a YC‑funded agentic hiring marketplace. Full-time engineering role focusing on building the Standout AI product end-to-end (UX, UI, conversational agent, and platform integration) with no separate frontend/backend teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own a full slice of Standout end-to-end — either the company experience (how hiring managers brief us, see talent, decide) or the talent experience (how the people we represent get found, profiled, and intro’d). UX, UI, and the conversational agent inside it. All of it. From Figma-equivalent to prod.
  • Make the agent unreasonably helpful; go beyond a chat box to deliver senior-recruiter‑level output in a single line.
  • Ship fast with taste; ensure the product feels right and ships end-to-end without a PM.
  • Work on the stack: Next.js 16, React 19, TypeScript, Tailwind, Postgres + Prisma, Anthropic + LangGraph agents, OpenSearch.

Qualifications

  • Experience level: Any (new grads ok)
  • You ship end-to-end in recent projects
  • From a real product or design background, or strong engineering with design instinct
  • Ability to own an entire product surface without a PM
