About the role

Founding Sales / Talent Scout role at Standout, a YC-backed agentic hiring marketplace, focused on sourcing outstanding candidates and driving introductions to client companies.

Responsibilities

  • Hunt. LinkedIn, GitHub, Discord servers, university clubs, WhatsApp groups, alumni Slacks, meetups and in-person events to find top candidates.
  • Reach out cold and get replies at high cadence (dozens a day).
  • Get candidates signed up and their profiles completed.
  • Push introductions to client companies and chase bookings for interviews.
  • Celebrate hires by ringing the bell.

Qualifications

  • 0-4 years out of school
  • Sales, recruiting, startup experience preferred but not required
  • Enjoys working with numbers and performance metrics
  • Comfortable with high-volume outreach and no ramp period

Benefits

  • Base salary: $80,000 - $140,000 depending on experience
  • Intro accepted by client company: $50 each
  • Offer extended to candidate: $500 each

  • On-target earnings: $170,000 - $220,000 in year one, uncapped beyond that
  • Top performers: $500,000+ in total annual compensation
