About the role

QA Engineer to drive manual and automated testing across web applications and backend services in a Linux-first environment, collaborating with Product and Engineering to define quality standards and ensure release readiness. On-site role based in Los Angeles (Westwood).

Responsibilities

  • Execute manual, exploratory, and regression testing for web apps and backend services
  • Maintain and expand test plans for existing and upcoming features
  • Design high-signal test cases and build/extend automation where it matters most
  • Validate requirements and ensure releases are stable and defect-free
  • Investigate failures, identify root causes, and file clear, actionable tickets
  • Partner with Product and Engineering on acceptance criteria and release readiness

Qualifications

  • 3+ years hands-on testing of web applications
  • Strong knowledge of test methodologies and their corresponding tools
  • Experience with writing test plans and test cases for assigned features
  • Experience with test automation
  • Keen eye for detail
