About the role

Role at Helsing working at the intersection of machine learning and signal processing on RF data to build AI capabilities inside electronic warfare systems. End-to-end ownership from literature to deployment, with focus on self-supervised representation learning, deinterleaving, emitter identification, mode recognition, and anomaly detection on embedded hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Read literature, prototype on real recorded data, push to edge, and ensure deployment viability under latency and compute budgets.
  • Own problems end-to-end from research to deployment in a small team with RF and hardware engineers and system operators.
  • Develop models that detect, classify, and reason about RF signals in congested, contested spectrum.
  • Address messy, irregular, adversarial data and ensure output runs on real platforms with hard constraints.
  • Contribute to current focus areas including self-supervised representation learning on signal data, deinterleaving and emitter identification, mode recognition, and anomaly detection on embedded hardware.

Qualifications

  • PhD (or equivalent research track record) in ML, signal processing, physics, electrical engineering, or related field, with publications at NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, ICASSP, or similar venues.
