Owns the QMS infrastructure, leveraging AI and data-driven insights to scale quality across multiple sites and programs, maintain AS9100/IAQG certification posture, and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and own the RMS compliance matrix across all programs, mapping customer contract quality requirements, regulatory obligations, and internal standards to specific QMS processes, procedures, and objective evidence ensuring nothing falls through the cracks as programs scale.
  • Serve as the RMS subject matter expert for AS9100 and IAQG 9100-series standards, providing interpretation guidance, leading internal readiness assessments, and ensuring RMS operations across McHenry, West Lafayette, and Huntsville maintain consistent compliance with the quality management system.

  • Evaluate, pilot, and deploy AI and automation tools across quality workflows including nonconformance trending, document generation, compliance monitoring, and predictive quality analytics - and training the RMS quality team on effective, responsible usage.
  • Provide QMS oversight across all RMS locations, ensuring site-specific procedures, work instructions, and quality records are aligned to the RMS quality system and multi-site operations avoid compliance gaps.
  • Support expansion of production, development, and testing laboratory facilities by integrating new operations, equipment, and processes into the QMS from the outset (procedure development, training requirements, calibration programs, document control).
  • Lead the RMS internal audit program, ensuring coverage meets AS9100 requirements and risk priorities, with corrective actions driving meaningful improvement.
  • Develop and deliver quality system training for RMS personnel, from onboarding to advanced training on AI tools, compliance, audits, and customer quality expectations.
  • Interface with external auditors during AS9100 surveillance and certification audits, DCMA oversight, and customer quality system reviews as primary RMS quality contact.
  • Monitor and analyze quality system performance metrics (audits, corrective actions, document control, training, customer quality escapes) and translate data into management reviews and improvement priorities.
  • Support Program Quality team with customer contract reviews and proposal activities by interpreting quality requirements and configuring RMS data packages.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing), Quality Management, or related technical field.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in quality systems or quality engineering, with multi-site compliance experience in aerospace, defense, or similarly regulated industries.
