About the role

Delivery Driver delivers newspapers and other products to multiple delivery sites in the New York Metropolitan area, following FMCSR and company policies. Full-time role with seven-hour shifts including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Deliver newspapers and other products.
  • Functions will also include performance of all delivery department and production plant floor tasks.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Valid Class A or B CDL required.
  • Pass a valid Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
  • Pass pre-employment and post-employment random drug and alcohol screens.
  • Can drive a Manual Transmission.
  • Must pass a Company-administered Road test to demonstrate safe operation of the vehicle.
  • Prepare and furnish the Violation and Review Record (Record of Violations).
  • Must have a satisfactory driving record during the preceding three years.
  • Must have a satisfactory safety performance history with all prior DOT regulated employers during the past 10 years.
  • Must not have been convicted of a serious traffic violation, failed or refused a controlled substance/alcohol test for a prior DOT-regulated employer in the past three years, have been convicted of a DUI/DWI within the past five years or have accumulated a total of six points on their license in the past five years.
