About the role

Maintenance Technician responsible for installing and maintaining Starship test stand electrical, mechanical, and fluid systems (hydraulics, high-pressure nitrogen/helium, cryogenics) to support test operations and 100% successful launches.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and install fluid system components from schematics or engineering drawings (ball valves, check valves, pressure regulators, pressure gauges)
  • Troubleshoot operational issues in controls, fluids, and mechanical systems
  • Collaborate with technicians and engineers to ensure high-quality systems for launch readiness
  • Operate heavy machinery (forklifts, aerial platforms)
  • Perform hands-on operations with both large and small fragile assemblies
  • Conduct maintenance across vehicle integration, pad maintenance, site preventative maintenance, facilities, and corrosion control
  • Create, maintain, and edit written work orders and instructions
  • Perform lockout/tagout procedures and fluid system configuration procedures
  • Monitor and interpret critical instrumentation data to assess health and performance of fluid systems

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 2+ years of maintenance or installation experience on mechanical and low-voltage control systems
