About the role

Machining Technician on the Ultra Precision Machining team supporting manufacturing, development, and continuous improvement of micron/sub-micron tolerance parts and assemblies at production volumes. Focuses on non-machine-operating activities such as cleaning, testing, assembly, metrology, inspection, and related support tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Follow defined work instructions, process controls, and maintain a safe work environment
  • Maintain maximum work center uptime by identifying and reporting off-nominal issues (e.g., alarms, out-of-tolerance conditions) and actively maintaining best practices
  • Perform cleaning, testing, assembly, inspection, and related support tasks on precision parts and assemblies
  • Use metrology equipment including CMMs, optical microscopes, and other precision instruments
  • Perform data entry, work tracking, and effective communication with team members and leadership
  • Actively seek out and provide feedback on process improvements and efficiency opportunities to engineering/leadership
  • Keep a clean and safe work environment following company guidelines

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 1+ years of professional work experience using precision tools (torque tools, precision metrology instruments, precision testing equipment)
