About the role

Lead bioanalytical strategy and execution to bridge Isomorphic Labs' AI-driven drug design platform with wet-lab preclinical work, coordinating GLP/non-GLP studies, CRO management, and regulatory deliverables to advance candidates toward IND submissions.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute comprehensive bioanalytical strategies for small molecules, large molecules, and complex modalities (ADCs) from discovery through preclinical development in non-GLP and GLP environments.
  • Oversee design, validation, and transfer of PK, PD, and immunogenicity (ADA) assays at external labs.
  • Collaborate with AI/ML scientists to integrate bioanalytical data back into predictive models.
  • Lead biomarker assay strategies using traditional approaches and AI-identified novel biomarkers to support preclinical proof-of-concept.
  • Select, qualify, and manage global CRO partners with focus on data quality, timelines, and budget.
  • Manage complex global logistics including sample shipments, cold-chain, import/export compliance, and stability tracking.
  • Serve as primary technical contact for CROs and troubleshoot assay anomalies.
  • Author and review regulatory documents (bioanalytical sections of INDs and IBs) and represent bioanalytical in cross-functional teams and with regulators.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmacology, or related discipline with 5+ years biotech/pharmaceutical experience; OR a B.S./M.S. with 8+ years equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record leading bioanalytical strategies across multiple modalities (small molecules, biologics, ADCs).
  • Deep understanding of GLP/non-GLP regulations, FDA/EMA bioanalytical validation guidelines, and ICH guidelines.
  • Extensive experience with LC-MS/MS, LBA, flow cytometry; biomarker assay development and validation.
  • Experience with global sample shipping logistics and maintaining chain-of-custody.
  • Experience writing bioanalytical sections for successful IND submissions.
