About the role

MongoDB is seeking a Pre-Sales Solution Architect based in Mumbai for a hybrid working model. The role focuses on guiding customers to design and build reliable, scalable systems using MongoDB’s data platform, collaborating with sales to win deals and ensuring customer success across startup to enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design scalable and performant applications, systems and infrastructure for large software projects leveraging MongoDB
  • Guide customers on architecture patterns and optimisation strategies for MongoDB, while communicating its business value to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the sales team to drive account success through account planning, opportunity prioritization/qualification and pipeline generation strategy, taking ownership of technical aspects (discovery, demos, proof of value, presentations, sizing and documentation)
  • Proactively generate demand within the sales territory through self-driven technical initiatives and participation in events
  • Foster strong customer relationships, build champions and ensure customer success and satisfaction
  • Continuously seek opportunities to innovate and improve MongoDB solutions and processes, mentor other Solutions Consulting team members
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with MongoDB product suite and industry trends

Qualifications

  • 8 to 11 years of related experience in a customer facing role, with 5 to 7 years in pre-sales with enterprise software
  • Minimum of 3 years experience with modern scripting languages (e.g. Python, Node.js, SQL) and/or languages like C/C++, Java, C#
  • Experience designing scalable and highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-prem
  • Ability to review complex architecture with customers and advise on improvements using technology
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills for technical and business audiences
  • Ability to strategize with sales teams and align resources for multi-threaded account plans
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
