About the role

Business Engineering at Meta focuses on applying software engineering skills to solve real-world business challenges for clients, designing scalable solutions across Meta's platforms, and delivering measurable business impact through collaboration with product engineering teams and cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to Meta's clients — understand challenges, help them integrate with Meta's platforms, and relay field insights to Product teams to shape platform capabilities
  • From market insights, build new products and improve existing ones in collaboration with Meta product engineering teams and cross functional partners
  • Understand and apply deep knowledge of products, technologies, and business to build solutions at scale
  • Design and build end-to-end systems and launch-plan strategies
  • Guide workflow changes and gain stakeholder consensus while driving toward solutions
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Work with clients to develop a long-term strategic plan and manage integrations with Meta's platform products to ensure value creation
  • Build and manage strong working relationships with technical counterparts; mentor peers
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback
  • Influence decision-making through data-centric business presentations
  • Serve as a subject matter expert within Business Engineering and provide domain-level consultation
  • Participate in interviewing and onboarding of new team members
  • Willingness to travel 25% of the time

Qualifications

  • 3+ years as a software engineer building and shipping production quality code
  • Experience with open source languages such as PHP, Python, Java, or JavaScript Frameworks
  • Experience with writing and shipping reliable, scalable, and efficient code with maintainability in mind, including documentation and test plans
  • Experience with software design and architecture
  • Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant technical field (or equivalent practical experience); degree must be completed prior to joining Meta
