About the role

Data Scientist at Meta focused on product analytics across Meta’s family of apps. The role involves applying technical, analytical, and product intuition to solve product and business problems, influence product strategy, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive impact. Remote (Canada) and bilingual (English/French) context.

Responsibilities

  • Work with large and complex data sets to solve a wide array of challenging problems using different analytical and statistical approaches | Vous travaillerez avec des ensembles de données importants et complexes afin de résoudre un vaste choix de problèmes difficiles en utilisant différentes approches analytiques et statistiques.

  • Identify and measure success of product efforts through goal setting, forecasting, and monitoring of key product metrics to understand trends | Identifier et mesurer le succès des efforts produits grâce à la définition d’objectifs, à la prévision et au suivi des indicateurs clés du produit pour comprendre les tendances
  • Define, understand, and test opportunities and levers to improve the product, and drive roadmaps through your insights and recommendations | Vous serez en mesure de définir, de comprendre et d'évaluer les opportunités et les leviers d'amélioration du produit, et de piloter les feuilles de route grâce à vos idées et vos recommandations.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to inform, influence, support, and execute product strategy and investment decisions | Collaborez avec les équipes de produits, d’ingénierie et interfonctionnelles pour informer, influencer, soutenir et exécuter la stratégie produit et les décisions d’investissement

Qualifications

  • Experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python), and/or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • A minimum of 6 years of work experience in analytics (minimum of 4 years with a Ph.D.)
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
