About the role

Fire protection engineer role focused on detection, suppression, and alarm systems for modular units and BTM plants, with end-to-end responsibility from hydraulics calculations to fabrication-ready designs, permitting, and commissioning.

Responsibilities

  • Engineer fire protection in the reference design: detection, suppression, and alarm systems for modular units and BTM plants.
  • Run the calcs and layouts: hydraulics, coverage, and device placement owned end to end.
  • Develop the details that repeat: standardized designs fabricated into modules instead of field-built.
  • Support permitting and commissioning: AHJ questions answered, acceptance tests passed.

Qualifications

  • You've designed fire protection systems for industrial or mission-critical facilities.
  • You run your own hydraulic calcs and stand behind them.
  • You've taken designs through plan review and acceptance testing.
  • You know NFPA 13 and 72 well and look up the rest fast.
  • You design for fabrication, not just for the code minimum.
  • Bonus: Clean agent and water mist systems. BESS protection (NFPA 855). AutoSPRINK or HydraCAD. NICET or PE track.
