About the role

Senior Manufacturing Engineer responsible for chassis fabrication processes, including developing process plans, launching lines and product revisions, and driving yield and cost improvements in heavy weldment/chassis manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Own manufacturing engineering for chassis fabrication: the processes turning steel into module frames at takt.
  • Develop the process plans: routings, work instructions, fixtures, and cycle times for weld-heavy fabrication.
  • Launch new lines and product revisions: PFMEAs, capability runs, and ramp curves you own.
  • Drive yield and cost: scrap, rework, and cycle time attacked with data weekly.

Qualifications

  • You've been the manufacturing engineer for heavy fabrication or weldment production.
  • You've launched fabrication lines or major process changes to rate.
  • You write work instructions operators actually use.
  • You run PFMEAs that predict the real failures.
  • You've cut cycle time on a process everyone said was optimized.
