About the role

Intern role at Relling focusing on building and deploying robotics software stack for manufacturing automation, from data collection and training infrastructure to perception and deployment on real hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Data collection tooling: teleop capture, episode management, labeling pipelines.
  • Training and evaluation infrastructure: reproducible runs, checkpoint management, and real evaluation harnesses.
  • Policy work: imitation learning (ACT, diffusion policies), visual servoing, observation-space design.
  • Perception glue: segmentation and tracking models feeding structured observations to controllers (SAM2, DINOv2, small task-specific networks).
  • Deployment: getting software onto real hardware at real control frequencies.
  • Unglamorous tasks: fix the data loader, resolve timing mismatches, rework fixtures, observe and iterate with hardware.

Qualifications

  • Strong Python: maintainable code.
  • Comfort with PyTorch: read a training loop and debug with breakpoints.
  • Enough Linux and git to be self-sufficient.
  • Empirical instincts: ability to isolate variables and iterate without overhauling multiple components.
  • Currently enrolled in CS, EE, ME, robotics, or equivalent or demonstrate equivalent skills.

About Relling

Data and infra for world models

Relling is working on the “ImageNet for world models”: large-scale, high-quality multimodal datasets that help AI and robotics teams train systems to see, move, and interact with the real world. We combine synchronized video, depth, LiDAR, motion, and audio, we give researchers the building blocks for truly general-purpose AI.
