About the role

Role focused on end-to-end management of global suppliers for power generation hardware in Starlink, driving sourcing strategies, supplier performance, risk mitigation, cost optimization, and on-time delivery for high-volume production ramps.

Responsibilities

  • Create sourcing strategies for assigned categories (Energy, Gas, and Water) to reduce risk and meet internal demand
  • Establish and maintain key internal stakeholder relationships
  • Design strategic sourcing models to optimize value and deliver continuous cost reductions
  • Present to executives and key decision makers on high-stakes negotiations
  • Communicate, manage, and drive compliance for sourcing strategies
  • Identify and execute cost reduction projects with planning and stakeholder coordination
  • Perform advanced quantitative and business process analyses to identify financial impacts and cost improvements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define SLAs and KPIs for suppliers and evaluate performance
  • Conduct research, benchmarking, and market analysis for assigned categories
  • Create contract documents with legal collaboration
  • Manage contracts to ensure supplier performance
  • Interpret complex contract interrelationships and apply terms to evolving requirements
  • Maximize value and cost savings while lowering risk through strategic negotiations
  • Drive year-over-year cost optimization by reducing usage and waste
  • Establish preferred suppliers for assigned categories
  • Design and execute programs to build and monitor the supply base with focus on KPI performance
  • Place purchase orders and resolve blocked invoices for assigned categories
  • Develop and lead efforts to reduce the number of transactions for assigned categories

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree and 4+ years of related experience OR bachelor’s degree and 6+ years OR 10+ years in Engineering, Purchasing, Contract negotiation, Material/production planning, Operations or supply chain management, Material cost control
  • 1+ years of experience with large capital equipment procurement
