About the role

Mid-level software engineer (Software Engineer 3) in Atlas Growth, a cloud engineering group within MongoDB. Builds customer-facing features in Atlas, collaborates across squads with product, design, analytics, and research, and contributes to a data platform used by MongoDB’s developer ecosystem. Hybrid role based in Dublin.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute readable and well-tested code to ongoing projects
  • Collaborate with product and design partners to implement and iterate on new customer facing features
  • Write scope and technical spec docs for new projects and lead small engineering groups
  • Participate in code and document reviews
  • Help product management identify and drive feature improvements to completion
  • Triage incoming support requests and alerts for owned products, participate in on-call rotation after onboarding

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of software engineering experience
  • Fluency in TypeScript/JavaScript with experience in a modern framework (e.g. React)
  • Proficiency in Java, Go, C++/C, or similar compiled language is a plus
  • Experience writing database queries (document-based or relational)
  • Experience writing and reviewing technical specs, and leading small projects
  • Interest in A/B testing or product design
