About the role

Meta seeks an experienced Building Management System (BMS) Quality Manager to lead the DEC Quality team, overseeing installation, commissioning, and adherence to design and quality requirements for BMS across data center projects. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, on-site leadership, and risk mitigation to deliver safe, robust, and efficient BMS implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, onboard, and lead the General Contractor BMS Lead(s), CSI and E&I controls contractors throughout all phases of the project, ensuring safety, robustness, reliability, and conformance to design and quality requirements
  • Establish vision and foster cross-functional collaboration among on-site project teams including Meta BMS, general contractors, CSIs, and installation contractors
  • Drive consistency and standardization across buildings and partners
  • Review and ensure adherence to the BMS PLC Playbook revisions
  • Perform BMS inspections (wiring, installation, commissioning) and track project health and schedule with internal/external teams and Regional Quality Managers
  • Assess team performance, support benchmark/mock-up processes for BMS installations, and coordinate with cross-functional partners to minimize re-work
  • Develop and maintain logical construction/commissioning schedules for BMS activities, coordinating with Construction Managers, RQMs, and GC partners
  • Coordinate and manage packaged equipment factory-installed controls audits and BMS commissioning audits, tracking deficiencies to completion
  • Lead large multi-stakeholder meetings and communicate outcomes to stakeholders
  • Support custom tooling integration into construction processes and mitigate risk across initiatives impacting BMS delivery
  • Travel domestically as needed (anticipated 50%)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent) or relevant work experience
  • 10+ years of experience in instrumentation/controls programming/installation, MEP coordination/project management, commissioning of data centers or large-scale mission-critical buildings
  • Experience with Industrial Automation and Building Management Control Systems (PLC/DDC)
  • 3+ years of experience with programming and designing HVAC control systems and Electrical Power Monitoring
