About the role
You will own and elevate our mission-critical research platform that directly accelerates SpaceXSI's frontier work. The evals team creates and executes instruments for measuring model capabilities and behaviors, manages execution infrastructure, designs data sets and grading schemes, and diagnoses why agents fail to drive improvements.
Responsibilities
- Own and elevate mission-critical research platform used by SpaceXSI's frontier work.
- Design, build, and ship reliable systems that engineers love to use every day.
- Work on the evals team's instruments for measuring model capabilities and behaviors, cleaning datasets, providing feedback for experiments, and tracking growth during training.
- Diagnose why agents fail and determine short- and long-term improvements.
- Manage execution infrastructure, design data sets and grading schemes.
Qualifications
- Software engineering proficiency and 3+ years of experience actively writing code.
- Track record of shipping high quality projects and a strong sense of urgency.
- Exceptional product taste with ability to translate quality criteria into concrete, measurable criteria.
- Strong attention to detail.
