MTS - Mobile Engineer (iOS)
About the role
Role to build the Aside iOS app from the ground up, owning product experience, architecture, remote browser session connection, and real-time task updates.
Responsibilities
- Build the core mobile product. Let users start tasks, follow progress, review or approve actions, and use the result from anywhere.
- Make remote sessions feel reliable. Design the networking, state synchronization, reconnection, notifications, and recovery paths for long-running browser tasks.
- Use the full Apple platform. Explore widgets, Live Activities, App Intents, Shortcuts, share extensions, push notifications, and background execution wherever they improve the product.
- Craft a polished native experience. Ensure fast, clear, accessible interactions and native feel on iOS.
- Build with users. Talk to them, understand needs away from desktop, and turn insights into shipped product.
Qualifications
- Apple platform mastery. Shipped consumer iOS apps at scale; deep understanding of Apple APIs.
- Swift and SwiftUI depth. Familiar with modern concurrency, networking, persistence, background execution, and native app architecture tradeoffs.
- Systems rigor. Experience with unreliable networks, distributed state, partial failures, and recovery without compromising UX.
- Platform thinking. Ability to build primitives and scalable solutions addressing current and future use cases.
- Product craft. Attention to interaction details, performance, accessibility, and a product people want to use daily.
- Proactivity. Self-driven, identifies gaps, proposes solutions, and ships improvements.
