About the role

CNC Machinist responsible for operating, setting up, programming, and maintaining CNC machines and related equipment to support the Raptor program, with emphasis on high precision for flight hardware and ongoing process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, setup, and program edit CNC machines, and flight hardware needed to achieve Raptor program rate targets
  • Perform precision set-ups of various CNC machines on DMG, Nigata, Heller assets
  • Prioritize daily work to ensure high machine uptime
  • Manage cutting tools in CNC machines; load and measure tools for upcoming programs
  • Perform on and off machine deburr of hardware to ensure quality
  • Operate clean line equipment, CMM, borescope, and finish parts per requirements
  • Perform CNC machine preventative maintenance weekly and monthly
  • Maintain shop (chip bins, oils, greases, 5S, upkeep)
  • Remain flexible in a fast-paced environment and support teammates
  • Complete work instructions and test plans to document data
  • Introduce new ideas in machining, fixturing, and tooling for efficiency

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 1+ years of experience in CNC machining
