About the role

Lead a team of power systems engineers to design, procure, install, test, and maintain electrical power distribution systems and related infrastructure for SpaceX’s Rocket Development Facility, ensuring reliability and operational efficiency in a high-stakes environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers to provide support for the design, operation, material/component selection and procurement, construction, activation, and maintenance of electrical power distribution systems, load center panels, and supporting infrastructure
  • Communicate with electrical utilities personnel for design/engineering and maintenance to provide support and direction to electricians and technicians during construction, activation, and maintenance of power distribution, motor control centers, test stands, and equipment
  • Support testing campaigns by monitoring and reviewing critical issue tickets, responding in a timely fashion to troubleshoot and remedy electrical equipment
  • Develop novel ways to streamline site-wide processes and increase the reliability and efficiency of testing operations for the Rocket Development Facility
  • Perform any additional tasks that ensure efficient and effective testing, as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • 5+ years of experience working as an electrical engineer focusing on power distribution systems
