About the role

Column’s Correspondent Banking (CB) Compliance role focusing on onboarding and ongoing risk management for correspondent banking relationships across geographies. Remote role with travel; language requirement includes Russian, Spanish, or French.

Responsibilities

  • Execute a comprehensive onboarding framework: Enhance procedures for onboarding correspondent banks globally; Run the diligence process for new countries and map geo-specific risks; Execute onboarding for new correspondent bank partners; Lead periodic reviews for partner banks.

Qualifications

  • 6-8+ years of regulatory, compliance or risk management experience with a focus on international financial activity
  • Previous correspondent banking experience is ideal but not required
  • Required fluency in Russian, Spanish, or French
  • Ability to build and operational policies, procedures, and workflows
  • Familiarity with underwriting geographic and political risks
  • Exceptional communication skills for diverse stakeholders
  • Problem-solving ability with scalable solutions
  • Hyper-organized project management across multiple teams
  • Scrappy, hands-on attitude and comfort with travel
  • Ability to travel frequently (monthly trips in first six months if not SF-based; five times a year thereafter; heavy international travel)
