About the role

Reverse-engineering-focused role at Zyte, building tooling and automation to scale antibot and fingerprinting investigations using AI-assisted engineering, JS/VM reverse engineering, and modern AI pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Reverse-engineer the hardest antibot and fingerprinting systems on the web, across JS VMs, WASM, and polymorphic/obfuscated code.
  • Build JS function tracing, deobfuscation pipelines, and fingerprint-inspection tooling for fast, repeatable, automated workflows.
  • Use AI aggressively (LLMs, agents, custom automation) to deobfuscate, classify, diagnose detection surfaces, and prototype and ship tooling.
  • Build and maintain website intel pipelines with checkpointed history to diff against known-good baselines when antibots update.
  • Feed AI reverse-engineering and ban-resolution systems with context, signals, and structured intelligence for autonomous resolution of cases.
  • Codify one-off reverse-engineering wins into durable tools, rules, and pipelines usable by engineers and AI agents.
  • Collaborate across engineering to integrate tooling into the browser and automation stack, and mentor others in AI-augmented reverse-engineering techniques.

Qualifications

  • A hacker mindset with ability to rapidly develop PoCs and working tools.
  • Demonstrated use of AI tooling (LLMs, coding agents, automation) to accelerate engineering with automation instincts.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/Node.js and Python, with broad programming background and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong research, debugging, fuzzing, and reverse-engineering skills including static, dynamic, and concolic analysis.
  • Hands-on experience reversing JavaScript VMs, WASM, and heavily obfuscated or polymorphic code.
  • Deep understanding of operating systems and computer networking concepts.
  • Adept with tools like Wireshark, Burp Suite for intercepting and debugging network traffic.
  • Understanding of browser engines, browser fingerprinting, and antibot/anti-scraping mechanisms.
  • Logical prioritization and measurement-backed strategy; thrives in collaboration.
