About the role

Scientist responsible for development of lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulations, purification processes, and characterization methods for LNP drug products, with collaboration across Epigenetic Editing and Product teams to advance LNP-RNA reprogramming medicines.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate, purify, and characterize LNPs for nucleic acid delivery
  • Collaborate with Epigenetic Editing and Product teams (Immunology, Metabolism, Vascular) to develop LNP-RNA reprogramming medicines
  • Develop and optimize LNP compositions to target new cell types for reprogramming
  • Interpret complex experimental data and perform statistical analyses to reach robust conclusions
  • Maintain rigorous and detailed records of experimental protocols and results in an Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN)

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline or equivalent industry experience
  • Experience formulating LNPs with diverse lipid components for nucleic acid delivery
  • Experience with purification techniques, including dialysis, Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF), ultracentrifugation, and sterile filtration
  • Proficiency in LNP analysis using dynamic or multi-angle light scattering, liquid chromatography, and standard molecular biology assays (ELISA, qPCR, spectroscopy)
