About the role

Part-time art teacher position in Lansing School District, focusing on world-class instruction in art within a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment. 0.5 FTE (5 days per week, 4 hours per day), on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate passion for and expertise of art
  • Use data to guide and effectively differentiate instruction
  • Learn and grow by incorporating feedback from school leaders, colleagues, students, and professional development sessions
  • Build relationships with students and parents to ensure a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment
  • Other duties as assigned to best support the Lansing School District mission

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in education or in art practice
  • Previous experience working with children
