About the role

Architectural Project Manager for SpaceX McGregor Campus. Responsible for design, build, and activation of infrastructure, facilities improvements, and large capital projects. Owns tasks from start to finish to deliver a world-class facility in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates with stakeholders to build small to large capital projects across the site, managing all phases from planning to final delivery
  • Uses architecture/engineering knowledge to expedite design and solve conflicts during construction
  • Write and manage construction contracts with subcontractors across multiple disciplines through contract close-out
  • Perform project control tasks including scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
  • Resolve design and construction conflicts in the field in real time
  • Oversee and own full lifecycle of tasks/projects to achieve on-time and under-budget delivery with customer satisfaction
  • Manage tools and folder systems relating to organization of construction projects
  • Provide budgetary costs based upon preliminary scope
  • Gather proposals from architects, engineers and contractors; assign contracts upon receipt of all proposals
  • Develop final cost and schedule for the project and implement controls to manage cost, schedule, and scope
  • Facilitate city, county, and governmental approvals
  • Coordinate project implementation and track project status
  • Work with facilities team and end user to operationalize post-construction building operations and maintenance
  • Coordinate with end user and facilities team for building operations and maintenance
  • Manage night shift contractors as project work requires
  • Take on new projects ad-hoc as business needs arise

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an architecture or engineering discipline
  • 1+ years of professional experience in architecture, engineering, construction management, or facilities management
