About the role

Hands-on rack-level manufacturing test engineer responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing automated test strategies and infrastructure for fully integrated SambaRack systems. Focuses on end-to-end testing of compute, power, cooling, and networking at rack level, with cross-functional collaboration for NPI, production deployment, and global support.

Responsibilities

  • Rack Test Development: Design, build, and optimize automated manufacturing test sequences for integrated system racks (e.g., L10 to L12 integration levels).
  • Infrastructure & Provisioning: Develop orchestration environments to automate firmware flashing (BIOS/BMC), network switch configuration, and OS deployment at scale.
  • Power & Thermal Validation: Implement rack-level stress testing, load-balancing validation, thermal throttling assessments, and PDU margin testing.
  • Automated Test Infrastructure: Scripting & Automation with Python, Bash, or Go to automate diagnostics, network topology validation, and peripheral checks.
  • Diagnostic Tools: Integrate system diagnostics and stress-testing frameworks into the MES.
  • Data Analysis & Yield Monitoring: Analyze rack-level parametric data, monitor yields, and establish automated pass/fail criteria.
  • Manufacturing Support: Troubleshoot and repair, train teams on test equipment, ensure stability and uptime of test systems.
  • New Product Introduction (NPI) and Global Operations: Collaborate on DFT/DFR during prototyping, drive root cause analysis at rack level, deploy/test lines at global CM sites with SOPs and trainer materials.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related field
  • 5–7+ years of experience in system-level or rack-level manufacturing test engineering
  • Strong hands-on experience with manufacturing test systems and troubleshooting
  • Experience with automated test development and test equipment integration
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally
