About the role

Staff Software Engineer focused on building platform APIs and tooling to enable AI-driven world models for the NEO home robot platform. Join the Applied AI team to design, ship, and operate high-scale data pipelines, validation, annotation, and inference systems integrated with simulators and robot hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Build platform APIs for high-quality training data for our new world model, including data validation, auto-captioning/annotation, and validation.
  • Operate at high scale supporting a wide variety of developers and collaborate with the World Model team to pretrain a new world model.
  • Integrate AI across other systems in the stack and stay current with AI developments to inform platform and research teams.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, including shipping ML- or AI-powered systems in production
  • Strong programming skills in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript with expandable, testable, reliable software
  • Hands-on experience with modern AI/ML, AI frameworks, and cloud deployment
  • Clear communication and collaboration to lead projects independently
