About the role

Simulation Engineer to build and maintain high-fidelity modelling and simulation environments for aerospace/defense platforms, validating against real data, enabling design trades and informing decisions prior to flight.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain high-fidelity simulation environments, 6-DOF vehicle dynamics, aerodynamics, structural, and/or engagement-level models
  • Develop Monte Carlo and sensitivity analysis to explore performance across real conditions
  • Collaborate with GNC, mechanical, and systems engineers to define modelling needs and fidelity
  • Validate models against real test and flight data and assess model credibility
  • Support design trade studies across vehicle, aerodynamics, control, engagement geometry, and structural loading
  • Build tooling and infrastructure to speed up and democratize simulation across teams
  • Support flight and ground test campaigns by instrumenting and guiding data collection for model validation
  • Communicate simulation results and limitations clearly to engineers and decision-makers

Qualifications

  • Have built and maintained simulation environments for a real physical system (aerospace, automotive, robotics, or similar dynamic and safety-relevant domain)
  • Understand physics to distinguish valid simplifications (flight dynamics, aerodynamics, structures, or controls)
  • Strong programming/scientific computing skills (Python, MATLAB/Simulink, C++, or equivalent) and production-ready simulation code
  • Experience validating simulation output against real test/field data and reasoning about gaps
  • Comfort with uncertainty, Monte Carlo methods, sensitivity analyses, and probabilistic results
  • Collaborate effectively across disciplines and explain results to non-simulation specialists

Benefits

  • Competitive salary
  • VSOP options
  • Relocation support up to €2,500 and 4 weeks temporary accommodation
  • Learning allowance €500/£450 yearly
  • Health & wellness: gym membership and mental health support
